Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge Information:

We've seen some leaks showing us a curved screen on a smartphone device. Many rumors have been pointing at Samsung, but nobody has expected this Korean giant to launch something like the Galaxy Note Edge at IFA in Berlin alongside the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung managed to surprise many people with this launch and actually intrigue most of them. The concept is simple, next to the regular screen you get a side screen (Edge screen) which acts as a completely separate unit showing you additional information and options depending on where you are at the moment within the OS. This Edge screen even acts as an extremely dim clock which is perfect for night time. Other than shortcuts and features which hide on the Edge screen you get all the goodies from the Galaxy Note 4 as far as features go, even the stylus that comes with it.

Galaxy Note 4 Edge comes with a 5.6-inch 2K (2560 x 1600) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics processing. 16-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera is located at the back of the device while there's a 3.7-megapixel shooter included up front. The device measures 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3mm and weighs 174 grams. Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with Samsung's Revolving UX on top of it. 3000mAh battery is also part of the package and it should make sure you don't run out of juice in the middle of the day.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Editor Rating:

No matter whether you like the Galaxy Note Edge or not, this is something new. This device is a new concept by Samsung and that's a good thing. Many people wanted innovation from Samsung, so the company decided to release Galaxy Note Edge, same goes for introducing metal as part of this device's design. I personally am glad this device is out but I can't see myself using one, I don't see much use from the Edge screen and it does make you to hold the device differently than you'd hold a normal device. However, I know people who would love this device and the features it brings along. I hope Samsung will push devices like this in the future and try to do the same thing they did with the first Note device, make something new mainstream. Galaxy Note Edge brings the same features (and a stylus) you get with the Note 4 and that's a great thing of course.
