The PS5 and Xbox Series X are still hard to find even a year later, as stock of both consoles continues to be low. Ever since Sony and Microsoft launched what are now the current-gen consoles on November 19th of last year, people have been trying to snag one.
To no avail. But throughout the rest of 2020 and most of this year, retailers have been re-stocking both consoles periodically. And as the year went on, re-stocks have happened more and more frequently. That of course has not made them any easier to purchase.
If you’re still trying to get a hold of a PS5 or Xbox Series X, Walmart is doing a restock today through its website at 1PM PST/4PM EST. There is one catch though. This is an early access time for the restock. And it’s only going to be made available to those who are subscribers of Walmart’s membership called Walmart+. This doesn’t work for the free trial membership either. So, you have to be a paid member in order to gain early access.
That being said, you have time to subscribe to Walmart+ right now since the restock isn’t till 1PM Pacific. And if you’re lucky enough to get one today, then you can promptly unsubscribe before you pay for another month. If you want to try your hand at getting one without paying, you can wait till 4PM PST/7PM EST when non-Walmart+ members can jump in for Walmart’s early Black Friday shopping. Keep in mind that there may not be that much stock left at that point though.
If you haven’t registered yet for PlayStation Direct restocks, we’d also recommend you do that now so you can be ready for the next restock that Sony does. As these require invites, but they’re only sent out to those who register. You can register for PlayStation Direct below, and access the Walmart pages for both consoles below as well.
Walmart will have PS5 and Xbox Series X stock on Monday for non-members
As mentioned above, Walmart will go live with stock of both consoles at 1PM PST/4PM EST for early access. Or 4PM PST/7PM EST for non-paying members. That includes the PS5 Disc Edition and Digital Edition, and the Xbox Series X. It’s unlikely customers will have time to checkout with both consoles. So, pick whichever one you’re wanting more and go for that.
Lest you end up getting neither because you tried to pick up too many things. Of course, you could always try your hand at adding both to cart through separate tabs if you want.
