LG G2

LG G2 Information:

The LG G2 was announced on August 7th 2013 and later launched on NA carriers in mid September the same year. It was the first phone where LG introduced the the infamous back buttons for the volume rocker, power button and camera button, which they would later implement on the LG G Flex as well as the LG G3. The G2 also revolutionized the smartphone display in a way by using two connectors for the display instead of one like most other devices, using a process LG calls dual-routing, and they made it with some of the smallest bezels of any other device at the time bringing users 75.9% screen real estate.

When it comes to the specs, the LG G2 had a great set and it proved to be a powerful device, even now. It comes sporting a 5.2-inch IPS LCD Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution and 424 ppi. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 quad-core processor clocked at 2.26GHz, with an Adreno 320 GPU for the graphics, and 2GB of RAM. LG made the G2 with two different size models for storage, with 16GB or 32GB of available space, and expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD. It's powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. It has a 13MP auto-focus OIS camera on the back with LED flash, and a 2.1MP front facing camera. It supports 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE networks, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and GPS. Out of the box it's running Android 4.2.2, and comes in Black and White.

LG G2 Editor Rating:

The LG G2 was a huge step forward for LG with flagship devices and smartphones in general. The back placement of the buttons started what is now one of the best features of many of their new phones. The two connectors for the screen and the tiny screen bezels made for an overall better user experience. It's also fast and powerful thanks to the Snapdragon 800 processor on the inside. LG pulled out all the stops with the G2 and it shows.
