Perhaps one of the best features of the Pixel Watch, or really any Wear OS 3.x wearable is the fact that it has Google Assistant on-board. Giving you the assistant right there on your wrist to do all sorts of things. This includes answering your questions, telling you about the weather, setting a timer and so much more.

But the big question is, how do you access the Google Assistant on the Pixel Watch? Luckily, Google has provided multiple ways to do this. And that’s what we’re going to show you today. But first, we need to make sure the Assistant is enabled on the Pixel Watch.

Before we get started, you’ll need to actually enable Assistant on the Pixel Watch. Now it is very likely that you did this during the initial setup of your Pixel Watch. But if you skipped that step or it didn’t pop up, it’s still very easy to enable.

  • Press and hold the top button, this is the button above the haptic crown.
  • When the screen is active, say “Hey, Google”.
  • Or press the haptic crown and select Assistant from the app list. It’ll be towards the top, since it’s alphabetical and only lists “Assistant”.

After you’ve activated it, you can do whatever you want with the Google Assistant, just like you would with your phone, or Nest Mini smart speaker. That’s how you can enable and use the Google Assistant on the Pixel Watch.
