Monefy is easily one of the best money management apps on the Play Store. It is definitely one of my favorite ones, for a good reason. This app has everything you need in a money management app. It comes with a really nice UI design that is a pleasure to use. All the categories are represented with a nice-looking icon. Do note that you cannot create custom categories in a free version, though, for that you’ll need to pay a one-time fee, but it’s well worth it.


You can easily add new entries, and the app also comes with two really nice-looking widgets. You can synchronize your data with your Google Drive or Dropbox account, it’s up to you. You can track your spending in multi-currencies, if that’s something you need. Exporting personal finance data is extremely easy, and you can also set up passcode protection if you think it’s necessary. This app even comes with a built-in calculator.

Money Lover is another great money management app. This app especially shines if you’re all about details. It has a lot of tools that will make you feel like you’re totally in control. On top of that, this app also looks really nice. You can categorize your spending here as well, and also select a date of your choosing. Creating financial reports is also possible in this app, so that you get a better idea of what’s going on.


The app will alert you if you spend close to the budget limit, and you’ll also get daily budget advice. The app can also forecast a budget, based on your spending. There is a separate credit card wallet, and you can also keep track of your bills and other recurring transactions. A calculator is built inside this app, while you can sync your data with ease. If you need to export your data, that is also quite easy to do.

It supports basically any currency with downloadable rates, and there are a lot of categories included here, which come with custom attributes. Trend, Pie, and Bar charts are included here as well. You can password-protect the app if you want, while it’s also easy to overview your expense and income summary.

Because of its design, it’s also a joy to use, not to mention that it performs really well.

On top of that, this app comes with cross-platform support. Expense tracking is really easy in this app, and you’ll do it via various categories, similar to other money management apps. The app allows you to split expense transactions, while you can choose your budget period to match real-life. Searching for transactions is possible within the app, and much more. This is easily one of the best-designed apps in the Play Store, and in addition to Monefy, probably our favorite UI design. Both light and dark modes are supported here, while the app does offer you a level of customization. You can choose colors for your categories, and more than that.

Your expenses are shown in form of a chart, similar to what Monefy offers. The app can track both debts and savings for you, while you can use multiple currencies here, without a problem. Cloud backup is supported in this app, as is in many other apps on the list. The app will keep track of your transaction history, and in case you don’t like the chart view for your expenses, there are more options here.

This app is really easy to use, and it focuses on the essential features that you may need to manage your expenses.

This app is limited to managing one account, and that’s what most people need. It also doesn’t offer classifying your expenses into categories. The developer says that there’s no time for that, that it’s easier to do it like a general expense. The app also doesn’t offer charts and other statistics. If those features are not something you need, and you want something bare bones to manage your finances, this is the way to go.
