The Google Pixel Pro is one of the most popular phones on the market right now, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have its issues. People reported that there was an issue with the phone’s scrolling, which also affected the Pixel 6 Pro. Well, there’s a fix coming for the Pixel 7 Pro’s scrolling issue. However, according to Android Police, it might be a little while to wait.
It’s weird that the Pixel 7 Pro is having the same issue that the Pixel 6 Pro had. For some reason, the scrolling on that phone was extremely inconsistent. The screen would barely move when you scroll only to jump forward the next time you scroll. This seems to be the same issue with Pixel 7 Pro.
There’s a fix coming for the Pixel 7 Pro’s scrolling issue
The Pixel 7 Pro launched back in October last year, so it’s four months old at this point. So, the problem has persisted since then, but there’s an end in sight. A Google engineer finally came out and told the community that the company is aware of the issue. A fix is coming for the Pixel 7 Pro’s scrolling issue, but it might be a bit of a wait. In the post, the engineer said that it’s going to come with the next feature drop.
This means that there won’t be an impromptu OTA to fix the issue. Instead, Pixel 7 Pro users will need to wait until March.
While the Pixel 7 Pro has this issue, the phone’s launch was much better than the Pixel 6’s launch. If you remember, these phones launched with Android 12 out of the box. Android 12 was a massive departure from the Android versions that came before. Thus, there were some serious growing pains.
However, Android 13 on the Pixel 7 phones was so much more stable. While it’s not immune to software bugs, it was a major improvement. If you’re considering picking up a Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro, it’d be a good choice. You can check out our reviews of these phones below.
