Vivo X90 series launch date confirmed; images & specs leak

The Vivo X90 series will become official on November 22, as the company confirmed the launch date. Three devices will become official, and the event will take place in China. Do note that global models will be made available later on.

Vivo has confirmed that the event will start at 7 PM local time, which translates to noon CET / 6 AM EST / 3 AM PST. The Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+ are coming. The last one will be the most powerful one, of course.

The Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro are tipped to utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC. The Pro+ model will likely launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC on the inside.

The teaser that Vivo released confirms ZEISS optics and the company’s T* coating, as expected. The Vivo V2 chip will also be in use here, which is the company’s new ISP that got announced recently.

If you take a look at the gallery below this paragraph, you’ll be able to see some new images of the Vivo X90 Pro+. We’ve already seen this design, but only barely. These images do share more information.

Now, some spec info did surface as well. The Vivo X90 is said to arrive with 8GB of RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of storage (both variants will be available). This device will come in Black, Ice Blue, and Red color variants.

The Vivo X90 Pro is coming in both 8GB and 12GB RAM setups. The 8GB RAM model will include 256GB of storage, while the 12GB RAM unit will be available in both 256GB and 512GB storage setups. It will launch in Black and Red color options.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ will be the star of the show with a 1-inch camera sensor

The Vivo X90 Pro+, the most powerful out of the bunch, will include 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage, as both storage options will be available. The device will be available in Black and Red color options.

Vivo may utilize LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage, at least in the top-end model. Do note that these setups may change once the devices launch outside of China.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ is also rumored to include a 4,700mAh battery, 80W wired, and 50W wireless charging. Android 13 will come pre-installed, and the phone will utilize a 1-inch 50-megapixel camera sensor (Sony IMX989) for its main camera.
