A couple of days ago, HONOR confirmed that it will launch a new flagship smartphone on November 23. Well, now the company shared more info. HONOR not only confirmed that the device in question will be a foldable phone, but it also shared its design and name.
The HONOR Magic Vs is the company’s upcoming foldable phone
This smartphone will be called the HONOR Magic Vs, and you can get a glimpse of its design by checking out the attached image. We assumed that a foldable handset will launch, but we didn’t know its name.
Considering that the first-gen model was the HONOR Magic V, we assumed that the second-gen one will be the ‘V2’. Well, that’s not the case. HONOR opted for the ‘Vs’ branding for whatever reason.
This device will make its way to markets outside of China
Now, this smartphone is set to launch in China on November 23. The thing is, it will be making its way to global markets. HONOR promised that a foldable smartphone will reach global markets in the first quarter of next year.
That makes this launch even more interesting to many of us, as the device will actually be available in other markets. It will almost certainly be coming to Europe, and some other regions.
We expect this device to be somewhat similar to last year’s model, but thinner. HONOR did a really good job with the HONOR Magic V design. This handset could also have a vegan leather backplate, thin bezels, and two 120Hz AMOLED displays. We’re only guessing, though.
We presume the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or Gen 2 will fuel it
Considering the timing of the launch, we’d guess that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will fuel this device. On the flip side, it could be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, as Qualcomm is expected to announce that chip in only 5 days.
The HONOR Magic Vs will have high-end specs through and through, though we’ll have to wait a bit longer to get all the details.
