Earlier this year ASUS launched the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro gaming phones, it just didn’t launch them in the US. Well, if you’re a gaming phone fanatic in the US and you particularly love the ROG brand, then your time has come. Because ASUS has officially begun selling the ROG Phone 6 series in the US.
Back when the devices were first launched, we’d already been using the Pro model for a couple of weeks and we absolutely loved it. We called it the “final boss of gaming phones,” and we stand by that. To this day few phones come close to the quality and feel of a ROG Phone when it comes to gaming. And those that do come close still aren’t quite up to par.
That being said, the ROG Phone series has always been pricey. And that is perhaps its single biggest drawback. If however, cost is not an issue for you, then the latest from ASUS is the way to go. Worth mentioning is that the phones are available for pre-order, and will begin shipping
The ROG Phone 6 US launch will include all variations
The US launch of the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro technically started this week. Specifically on September 7. The US sales should include all variations eventually but for now only some models are available.
You can purchase the devices through Amazon and they will also be available from the ASUS store in the near future. Currently though, you can’t buy the Pro model. ASUS doesn’t mention when Amazon or its own store will have stock either. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though. The ROG Phone 6 Pro definitely comes with beefier specs. But the ROG Phone 6 is really just as capable. The main differences are the amount of RAM and storage.
You can grab the ROG Phone 6 in Phantom Black or Storm White colorways. And both colors come with either 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, or 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. As for pricing, the 12GB RAM model retails for $999, and the 16GB model retails for $1,099. If you want to wait for the Pro model to come in stock, you’ll be looking at $1,299.
