Samsung just held its latest Galaxy Unpacked event, and we’re all reeling from the announcements. Aside from the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and the Galaxy Watch 5 series, Samsung also took the wraps off of its Galaxy Buds2 Pro. These are the latest premium TWS earbuds from the company, and they’re bringing some major power.
Samsung launched the original Galaxy Buds Pro back in January of 2021, and they received good reviews. We were expecting to see these earlier this year, but the announcement never came.
The Galaxy Buds2 Pro will come with some neat specs
These new premium earbuds will come with some nice specs for those looking for an improvement over last year’s iteration.
When it comes to the battery capacity, Samsung says that these earbuds will last you most of the day depending on your usage. The earbuds themselves have 61mAh batteries, and they should last you about five hours with the ANC (Active Noise Cancelation) on. With it off, you’re looking at about eight hours.
The case has a 5oomAh battery, and it should charge your earbuds about four times. Using the case, you should get about 20 hours of listening time with ANC on and about 30 hours with it off.
Since these are premium earbuds, you can expect a great listening experience. The Galaxy Buds2 Pro are compatible with 24-bit Hi-Fi sound. Along with that, these earbuds also have enhanced 360 audio with multi-channel support.
You’ll get richer sound with the improved hardware, and that’s a feat because the earbuds are actually 15% smaller than the last generation Galaxy Buds Pro.
Using the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, you’ll have access to the typical hearing modes that you have with most premium earbuds. For starters, you have the ANC mode. This will cancel out most of the ambient noise you hear like traffic, airplane engines, and AC units. This will help block out annoying noise to help you hear your music better. According to the company, the ANC on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro can filter 40% more noise than the Galaxy Buds Pro. Also, they can filter a broader range of frequencies.
Next, we have ambient mode. This will turn on your buds’ microphones and let you hear the noise going on outside. Ambient mode is perfect if you need to talk to someone without taking out your earbuds.
Other features include Bixby built-in, IPX7 water resistance, the ability to connect to Samsung TVs, and more. The Galaxy Buds2 Pro will be available to buy on August 26th for $229.
