Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro official press render 2

Samsung last month launched its latest rugged smartphone, the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro. The company has now released a promotional video highlighting the handset’s key features and use cases. It is touting the phone to be ideal for working professionals in the retail, public service, logistics, and industrial areas. In other words, people who actively work outdoors, or are often exposed to extreme weather or work environments. The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro is prepared to handle it all.

Samsung highlights Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro features

The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro differs from a regular smartphone in several ways. Firstly, it comes with a user-removable 4050mAh battery. This gives you the flexibility of carrying an extra battery that you can replace quickly should the device run out of fuel when outdoors. The handset also supports charging via pogo pins, in addition to a USB Type-C port.

The speakers in this phone are louder, making them usable for calls or media playback even in noisy environments. Equipped with a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, the device comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and enhanced touch sensitivity that allows you to operate on the screen with leather gloves on or wet hands. And should you not be able to input your lock code or use the side-mounted fingerprint scanner, there’s face recognition to bail you out.

The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro boasts two additional physical buttons along with the power key and volume controls. These buttons are programmable to your liking. So you can have them quickly open an app or perform a task depending on your needs. With an IP68 rating and military-grade build (MIL-STD-810H-certified), you can rest assured that the phone will survive a few drops or exposure to a little rain.

This rugged smartphone also comes with barcode scanning capabilities that make things easier for businesses. Samsung further offers a comprehensive array of dedicated accessories to business customers. 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity options ensure super-fast internet to quickly get things done, indoors and outdoors.

Other highlights of the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, 50-megapixel primary rear camera, 13-megapixel front camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Samsung DeX support.
