We’ve been seeing rumors that two OnePlus flagships are coming this year, in addition to the OnePlus 10 Pro. Well, that won’t be the case. A well-known tipster, Max Jambor, confirmed that only the OnePlus 10T 5G is coming, that is the only remaining flagship smartphone from the company that will launch in 2022.

The OnePlus 10T 5G is coming this year, as the only remaining OnePlus flagship in 2022

His tweet said “Final name of the next and only flagship phone coming this year: OnePlus 10T 5G”, but he elaborated on the situation in a direct conversation. That is where he confirmed what is written above, and also elaborated more on that.

He said that the OnePlus 10 and the OnePlus 10 Ultra that leaks have been talking about, are basically the same device. That device will launch in the form of the OnePlus 10T 5G.

So, the company is planning to bring back its T series of phones, after taking a break last year. OnePlus usually launches at least one T series smartphone in the second half of the year. Both the OnePlus 7T and 8T were quite good devices, and the 7T was especially popular.

The tipster did not share any specifications of this phone, but we can safely assume it will be a powerful device. Its predecessors were high-end phones, though OnePlus tried to sell them at the lowest price possible.

It would be nice to see the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 inside of this handset

We’re expecting something similar will happen with this device as well. What will be interesting to see, however, is whether OnePlus will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, or stick with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 does offer slightly better performance, and considerably better power consumption, on top of doing a better job in the thermal management department. So, it would be nice to see it inside of this phone.

You can also expect LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage to be included, in addition to a 120Hz AMOLED display. Hasselblad will be a part of the picture as well, of course.

It will likely be made out of metal and glass, while a display camera hole will be included. Do note that we’re only guessing here, of course. We still don’t know when exactly will the phone launch, though, stay tuned.
