Latest Galaxy Buds Pro Update Improves Battery Charging

Samsung last month updated its Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds Live TWS (true wireless) earbuds to add the 360 Audio feature that debuted on the Galaxy Buds Pro. The Pro model is now getting an update too, though without any notable new feature in tow. The update only brings some stability improvements.

According to the official changelog, the Galaxy Buds Pro is getting some improvements to the battery charging algorithm and stability. This likely doesn’t change anything for the users. Additionally, we also have the generic system stability and reliability improvements as part of this update.

First reported by SamMobile, the latest update for the Galaxy Buds Pro is rolling out with firmware version R190XXU0AVD1. The new software package should be available to users globally within a few days. The OTA (over the air) download size weighs in at 2.2MB. Watch out for a notification about the update from the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone in the coming days. You can also manually check for updates from the app. Simply head over to the Earbuds settings menu and tap on the Earbuds software update option. If there’s no update available, check back again later.

The Galaxy Wearable app is getting an update too

In addition to the Galaxy Buds Pro, Samsung has also released an update to the Galaxy Wearable app, which is the hub for all of the company’s wearable devices. The new version ( doesn’t bring any notable new feature in regards to your Galaxy earbuds or smartwatches, neither does it sees a UI change. Instead, it adds an auto-update option to the app. You can turn on this feature from the About Galaxy Wearable menu within the app. You get the option to either automatically update the app over Wi-Fi or cellular connection, or both.

If auto-update is enabled, your device will always run the latest available version of the Galaxy Wearable app. This will ensure that you will not miss out on the latest features or run into any issues with your wearable device. Note that it’s the Galaxy Wearable app that will update automatically to the latest version, not your connected Galaxy earbuds or smartwatch. We will keep you posted regarding any new updates for your wearable device.
