Remember when OnePlus launched its first “T” variant of a phone? Back in 2016, OnePlus made its first mid-cycle launch with the OnePlus 3T, and since then, it’s been a multi-phone company. The “T” trend has since passed for the OnePlus flagships, but it trickled down to the Nord phones. According to Onsetigo, there are some renders that show us the OnePlus Nord 2T.

We’ve been following rumors and leaks surrounding the OnePlus Nord 2T. Not too long ago, we got word that it’s going to support 80W charging. That’s immense for a budget-friendly device.

These renders show us a different camera module on the OnePlus Nord 2T

Looking at the front of the device, we see an edge-to-edge display with a slight chin bezel at the bottom. Uptop, we see the left-oriented punch-hole which is intrinsic to OnePlus’ design language. On the right, we see the power button and what looks like the notification slider. On the left side, we see the volume rocker.

Turning over to the back, we see an interesting-looking camera module. The OnePlus Nord 2 proper has a rectangular camera island with the sensors sitting as individual elements. The flash sits right under them. For the render of the OnePlus Nord 2T, we see a different yet similar setup.

The main camera is at the top and under it, there’s a circle that’s just at big as the main camera. However, that circle contains two additional sensors within it. To the immediate right of both the camera and the circle, there are two flash LEDs.

What are the rumored specs for this phone?

The OnePlus Nord 2T might be OnePlus’ equivalent to the Samsung Galaxy A73. It’s a less premium phone than the main flagship, but not by much. Thus, we can expect some pretty good specs.

This phone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. There will be a variant with 128GB of storage and one with 256GB of storage. As for the software, we’re looking at Android 12 out of the box running on top of Oxygen OS 12.

As for the display, it’s expected to have a 6.43-inch 1080p+ AMOLED display that runs at 90Hz. That display is good, and keeping that display powered may be a 4,500mAh battery.

Rounding out the specs, the cameras behind that new module are expected to be a 50MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 32MP selfie camera. There’s no word on when this phone will become official.
