Before we get down to it, though, do note that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is essentially a global variant of the Motorola Edge X30. That device launched in China at the beginning of December, by the way.
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro just surfaced in images, ahead of its launch
Motorola is basically just expected to rebrand the phone, and include global software on it. So, we knew what the device will look like the moment it launched in China.
In any case, if you take a look at the images provided in the gallery below, you’ll be able to see the device up close and personal. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be made out of metal and glass, with a display camera hole, and thin bezels.
Its display will be flat, while it will include three cameras on the back. Evan Blass even showed us a case that will be available with the phone, and a stylus as well. He shared that image a while back.
This smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch fullHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be protected by the Gorilla Glass 5, and supports HDR10+ content.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will fuel the phone, while it is likely both 8GB and 12GB RAM models will be available. Motorola will use LPDDR5 RAM here, along with UFS 3.1 flash storage.
A 5,000mAh battery will be included, while 68W charging will be supported
A 5,000mAh battery will be included, and it will support 68W TurboPower charging. The company will, hopefully, ship that charger along with the phone. Wireless charging won’t be supported.
Android 12 will come pre-installed, along with MyUX skin. Two SIM card slots will be available, while a side-facing fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package. The phone will support 5G connectivity, by the way.
A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.88 aperture, OIS), will be backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (114-degree FoV, f/2.2 aperture, 2.5cm macro option), and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture).
A 60-megapixel front-facing camera will also be included, as will stereo speakers. Dolby Atmos support will also be here, along with IP52 certification for splash resistance. The device will measure 163.56 x 75.95 x 8.49mm, and weigh 194 grams.
