We are in the last month of the year, and as soon as we are approaching the year’s end, Samsung is pushing December 2021 security updates to more of its devices. The latest device from the company to pick up the December 2021 security update is the Galaxy A52s 5G.

Samsung recently delivered the December 2021 security update for its Galaxy A50 smartphone. Now, the update is knocking on the doors of the Galaxy A52s 5G. Do note that the Galaxy A51, Galaxy A52, and A52 5G haven’t received the update yet.

To recall, Samsung launched the Galaxy A52s 5G in September 2021. It comes with Android 11 out of the box and is waiting in line to pick up the Android 12 update after the flagships have received it.

The A52s 5G is a decent mid-ranger that comes with a Super AMOLED 120Hz refresh rate display. There is a 64MP quad-camera setup on the back. Overall, it is a nice package.

Talking about the update, it simply bumps the security patch level to December 1, 2021. Sadly, there aren’t any new features included with the update, and it is purely incremental.

It is recommended that you update your Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G device with the latest security patch as it fixes a bunch of security-related vulnerabilities. For more information, you can visit the official Samsung Security Bulletin website.

According to SamMobile, the latest December 2021 security update for the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is arriving with firmware version A528BXXS1AUL1. Notably, it is currently available in New Zealand. Other regions are expected to join the bandwagon soon.

Moreover, Galaxy A52s 5G is eligible to receive three major Android OS updates, all thanks to the new update policy of Samsung. This means the device will be good to support Android 14.

As far as Android 12 is concerned, the device will pick up the update sometime in February 2022. That might get delayed, as it totally depends on Samsung and their schedule.

If you own a Galaxy A52s 5G and reside in New Zealand, where the update is live, you can check for the update manually. For that, you need to head over to Settings » Software update and tap on the Download and install button.

The system will look for a new update. If it detects one, you can tap on the Install button to begin the download of the update. Make sure you are using a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection to avoid download issues.
