The OPPO Find N, the company’s first foldable smartphone launched quite recently, and another interesting phone from the company just surfaced. We’re talking about the OPPO Find X5 Pro, the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, as its design popped up.
The OPPO Find X5 Pro design gets revealed by CAD-based renders
Now, some of you may wonder why didn’t we refer to this phone as the OPPO Find X4 Pro. The OPPO Find X3 Pro launched earlier this year, so the next in line should be the 4 series, right? Well, yes, but the number “4” is considered to be unlucky in China, so… it’s quite likely OPPO will skip it.
OPPO’s sister company, OnePlus, skipped the 4 series when it comes to its flagship smartphones, it went from the OnePlus 3 and 3T, all the way to 5 and 5T.
That being said, you can check out the renders of this phone below. It does look quite recognizable. OPPO decided to go with yet another unique camera design. It’s not a huge change compared to the Find X3 Pro, but enough to make this phone stand out.
The camera module looks both similar and different to the one on the Find X3 Pro
Its rear camera module comes with several cameras, and an irregular shape. An LED flash is included in there as well, along with some other camera-related sensors. Basically all camera hardware sits inside that protruding module on the back.
OPPO’s logo is also placed on the back, though it’s vertically aligned. This phone seems to be a bit more squarish than the Find X3 Pro, and it has a display camera hole in the top-left corner.
The phone does have a curved display, it seems. That display is expected to measure 6.78 inches, and it’s expected to be an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be an LTPO panel as well.
An optical fingerprint scanner will sit under the display, while the rest of its specs are still a mystery. The source is guessing OPPO will use the Dimensity 9000 chip, but that chip will be included in the Find X5, not the ‘Pro’ model. The ‘Pro’ variant is said to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
The OPPO Find X3 Pro launched in March this year, so we’re expecting its successor to arrive at the end of Q1 2022.
