NVIDIA GeForce NOW is getting more than a new crop of games today, it’s also handing out free copies of Crysis Remastered to subscribers. There is a small catch, but some subscribers will meet the requirement anyway. And, it applies to all new and some existing members.
So, what’s the catch? Well you need to have one of two different membership options. Either a new Priority 6-month membership, or a subscription to the RTX 3080 tier membership. The cost of both of those is $49.99 and $99.99 respectively. Crysis Remastered meanwhile is only $29.99. Having said that, subscribing only to get this free game isn’t really cost effective. But, if you were already planning on signing up for one of those two memberships, then this is a pretty great deal.
Additionally, if you pre-ordered the RTX 3080 tier when it was available to purchase, you’ll get the game for free as well.
The free GeForce NOW copy of Crysis Remastered is for the Epic Games Store
GeForce NOW works with numerous PC game clients. So it’s important to know which game client the game belongs to. Mostly so users can set up an account if they haven’t already done so.
In this particular case, the free copy of Crysis Remastered is for the Epic Games Store. So you’ll need to make sure you have an account with that storefront in order to claim the game. Once you’ve done that though, you can claim the free copy and then play it on whatever device you normally access GeForce NOW from.
Eight new games join the GeForce NOW roster this week
In addition to giving away a free game, there are eight new titles that are making their way to the service. So if you own or buy these games, you can stream them.
The new games include Combat Mission Cold War, The Last Stand: Aftermath, and Myth of Empires, all of which are new releases on Steam this week. Additionally, there’s Icarus on Steam for its beta weekend, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate Gold Edition on Ubisoft Connect, Core on the Epic Games Store, World Of Tanks on Steam, and Lost Words: Beyond The Page on Steam.
