There’s good news for those hooked on Pokémon Unite. Two months after its launch, the battle arena video game is now available on Android and Apple devices! This fantastic free-to-play, multiplayer game has a massive fan base. Are you one of the millions of players hooked on it since its release in July 2021 on the Nintendo Switch? Then there is more good news for you.

You don’t have to lose all the hard work and progress you have made over the last few months – and you don’t have to lose all the items you’ve collected so far. With a seamless transfer, you can move from your Nintendo Switch to your Android/Apple device in three easy steps! And no – you don’t have to contend with annoying data transfer.

As far as gameplay and content go, both the Switch and the mobile versions are similar. What’s more – immediately after the release of the android version, the game has made it to the list of top 10 best android games.

Here’s how to set up your current game on your Android or Apple mobile in a few minutes:

Step 1: Choose the correct option

When you install Pokémon Unite on your mobile, you are greeted with two options:

Option 1: Create Account.

Option 2: Transfer Access to Data.

If you’ve been playing Pokémon Unite on your Nintendo Switch you will have to choose Transfer Access to Data option to carry over your progress.

If you are playing the game for the first time, start by clicking: Create Account.

GH wrote that existing players should not create a new account to continue progress with their current game. If you start playing the game on a new device without linking your existing account, you will no longer be able to access your existing progress.

Step 2: Log In

Once you have completed step 1, the next step is to get access to your existing account. To do that, you will have to choose a platform to log in. Your options are:

  • Nintendo Account
  • Facebook
  • Google
  • Pokémon Trainer Club

If you have linked your Nintendo Switch game to any of the above platforms, simply click on that platform.

Note: If you don’t remember whether your existing game is linked to any of the above platforms, choose Nintendo Account. That way, you can be sure to get access to your Pokémon Unite Nintendo game.

Once you confirm your option, you will be taken to a sign-in page where you will be asked to add your log-in details.

Step 3: Confirm

After your log-in details are confirmed, you will see a confirmation screen that displays your account’s Trainer name and level. For one last time, you will be asked if you want to transfer access to the saved data to continue playing. You have two options – to go ahead or cancel the confirmation. To go ahead and get access to your existing Nintendo Switch game, choose OK.

You are now all set to play the mobile version of Pokémon Unite. All your existing game data is automatically accessible on your mobile device.

Pokémon Unite supports crossplay between your Nintendo Switch and your mobile devices. You can automatically switch back and forth between your mobile device and your Nintendo Switch with data updated on both devices.

The game is free on Google Play and the Apple App Store, with optional in-game purchases. Unlike most Nintendo games, you don’t need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to play Pokémon Unite. Today, the Pokémon Company announced that the game is now updated for Halloween. The publishers have added new games featuring pumpkin battles where you can toss pumpkins at your opponents and exchange any pumpkins that you collect for limited-time offers.
