Samsung is on a spree in rolling out the latest October security updates for its devices. Recently, the October 2021 security update was served to the Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, along with a bunch of other devices.

Now the latest security update is now rolling out for the unlocked units of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Notably, the international variants of the Galaxy Note 10 have already picked up the update.

Both the devices in the Galaxy Note 10 series, i.e. the Galaxy Note 10 and the Note 10+ unlocked models are picking up the October update in the US.

To recall, Samsung launched the Note 10 series back in 2019. It came with all the bells and whistles you would expect from premium flagship smartphones from Samsung.

It may be out of context, but in 2021, Samsung did not launch the Note series phones. Instead, we had the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 devices. The sales of which are showing impressive numbers.

We aren’t sure if the company will revive the Galaxy Note lineup next year. All we can do is hope Samsung listens to its die-hard Note series fans and launches a new Note phone in 2022.

The Galaxy Note 10 October security update arrives without new features

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are under the “Monthly Security Updates” category, as mentioned in the Samsung Security Updates Scope page. This means the Note 10 series is entitled to receive regular monthly security updates.

Talking about the update, it is purely incremental in nature. Meaning there aren’t any new features included with this security update. However, you cannot rule out the performance and stability improvements that a usual update brings to devices.

The Galaxy Note 10 series October security update is hitting the units with firmware version N97xU1UEU7FUI4. As noted by SamMobile, the update is live on various US carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C Spire, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.
