Amazon Starts Its Holiday Deals Now, Nearly Two Months Early

Amazon Prime Day AM AH 1

Retailers seem to be starting their holiday shopping season earlier and earlier every year. However, Amazon does have a good reason for doing it this year. With all of the shortages and backups with shipping already, it’s a good idea to get your holiday shopping done early. So you can ensure that it will arrive in time.

So, Amazon has announced its Black Friday-worthy deals earlier than ever. And it is giving customers access to holiday deals across every category, beginning now. Amazon has also launched its gift guides, so you can find something for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Or you can check out holiday gift guides here – which we’ve already started to roll out.

Of course, we will also be posting the best deals available, as we do throughout the year. So make sure to bookmark our deals page so you don’t miss anything.

Product shortages are real

While retailers will use any reason they can to start doing holiday sales earlier than ever, Amazon does have a point to starting super early. Shortages are real. Not only is it the chip shortage, but there’s also a workforce shortage, forcing shipping to take longer as well. Most larger items get shipped from Asia to the US in containers on cargo ships. Those containers are now costing companies nearly 4x what they were a year, or even two years ago. Making most of them start to ship via planes like UPS, DHL and FedEx. Which is going to take longer, in a lot of instances.

So in order to make sure that you are getting your gifts in time for the holiday season, it’s a good idea to start making your list and picking up these products now. It’s better to get them early, then to get them late and miss Christmas.
