OnePlus is planning to announce a new pair of earphones soon. Those earphones will be called the OnePlus Buds Z2, and their design has just leaked. The images you can see in the gallery below are the courtesy of 91mobiles and @OnLeaks.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 earphones design has been revealed
As most of you will notice, these earbuds will look very similar to their predecessors, the Buds Z. Their stems are quite noticeable, while the eartips are slightly angled, which should provide a better fit. Those stems do seem to be shorter than the ones on the Buds Z, though.
These earbuds come with silicone ear tips, and are in-ear style earbuds. You’ll notice that each earbud has several cutouts, which are probably reserved for sensors.
The charging case is also quite similar to the one the Buds Z offer. There is an LED indicator on the front, and it essentially looks like a larger pill. There is a Type-C USB port on that case, for charging purposes. You’ll notice there’s a OnePlus logo on the case as well.
The source leaked only one color variant of the earbuds, the white one. It also noted that these images are based on real-life pictures. Therefore, you can expect this to be the final design.
More color variants are expected
In case you’re wondering if any additional colors will be provided, the answer to that question is yes, quite probably. We’re expecting a black variant as well, while OnePlus may offer another color option in addition to that, maybe even several of them.
The source noted that these earbuds are coming in October. We still don’t know when exactly, though. They may get announced alongside the OnePlus 9 RT in India, but we’re only guessing.
In regards to specs, well, we don’t have any information just yet. These won’t be the company’s premium truly wireless earbuds, though, the OnePlus Buds Pro will keep that place in OnePlus’ lineup.
