Unfortunately, there are only two wallpapers here, to talk about. You can check them out in the gallery below the article. Do note that the wallpapers in the gallery have been compressed. If you’d like to get them in full resolution, tap the link / button below the article.
The Pixel 5a wallpapers are now available, but there are only two of them
The first wallpaper you see here may seem familiar. Google used a number of colors to write out “5a”, as it did for its past models. The background is pitch black, but everything else is as colorful as it gets.
The second wallpaper is considerably more muted. It combines various shades of green to create this odd contraption. It reminds us of a percentage symbol, even though it’s not.
If you download these wallpapers in full resolution, you’ll get 2400 x 1080 images. That makes all the sense in the world as the Pixel 5a is said to feature a fullHD+ display.
The Google Pixel 5a is tipped to launch today, but it will allegedly become available in about a week. The phone won’t launch in many markets, though, if rumors are to be believed. Only those of you who live in the US and Japan will be able to get the device.
The device will include the same SoC as the Pixel 4a 5G & 5
It’s safe to assume that this is the result of the chip shortage. The phone is tipped to include the Snapdragon 765G, and it’s easily possible that the processor is in short supply. That is also the same chip that Google used in the Pixel 4a 5G and 5 last year.
The Pixel 5a is also said to feature a 6.4-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. That display will be flat. You can also expect 6GB of RAM to be included, along with a 4,650mAh battery.
The phone will be IP67 certified for water and dust resistance. Unfortunately, Google will release it in a single color, based on rumors. The Pixel 5a will be available in Just Black color only.
The device is tipped to cost $499 in the US. The price tag in Japan will be a bit different, of course. The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will launch in far more markets later this year.
