The OnePlus Nord 2 could launch at the very end of July, according to a new report. According to Mukul Sharma, a tipster, the OnePlus Nord 2 will launch at some point during the last 10 days of July.

The tipster says that OnePlus is considering July 24 as the launch date, but that days around it are also under consideration. Whatever the case may be, the device seems to be planned for the very end of the month.

That’s pretty much all the information that the tipster shared. The OnePlus Nord 2 will become the company’s new budget smartphone. This will, actually, be a mid-range smartphone, technically.


The device did surface in CAD-based renders already, while some of its specifications also appeared. We do know what to expect at this point. The phone will look similar to the OnePlus 9.

It will feature three cameras on the back, which will be vertically-aligned. Its display will be flat, while a display camera hole will sit in the top-left corner. The phone will likely be made out of metal and glass, but that’s not something we can confirm.

It will be fueled by MediaTek’s most powerful processor

The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor is said to fuel the device. That is MediaTek’s most powerful processor up until now, so this phone will definitely be powerful. Both 8GB and 12GB RAM versions are expected, with 128GB and 256GB of internal storage.


A 4,200mAh battery will be included here, along with fast charging. OnePlus will include either 30W or 65W fast wired charging, we’re not sure. Wireless charging probably won’t be included, but the company may surprise us.

A 6.43-inch fullHD+ display is rumored, and it will offer a 90Hz refresh rate. An optical in-display fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package, while a 50-megapixel camera will lead the way on the back. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera is also rumored, along with a 2-megapixel depth or macro camera.
