Samsung is working on adding Galaxy A22 to its lineup. The phone comes with both 4G and 5G support. Anyway, previously, some of its specifications were leaked, and now we have some new information about Galaxy A22 5G.
The first new news is about the phone’s display. According to the SamMobile report, Galaxy A22 5G will feature a 6.6-inch IPS LCD Infinity-V display. The resolution is Full HD+ at 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. Also, the refresh rate will be 90Hz. The 4G version will likely feature an HD+ AMOLED display.
The next thing we heard today is about the camera. There is an 8MP camera at the front for selfies. Moreover, you can find a triple-camera setup at the back that encompasses a 48MP (F1.8) wide-angle camera, a 5MP (F2.2) ultrawide camera, and a 2MP (F2.4) depth sensor. The 48MP camera sensor can reportedly shoot 4K videos.
As expected, the Galaxy A22 5G runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1. This is the latest version of Android OS and Samsung’s UI making their way to A22 5G. Samsung Pay, Dolby Atmos audio, and USB Type-C port are other features you can find on this phone.
Galaxy A22 5G is the cheapest 5G phone from Samsung
The support for 5G connectivity is not limited to flagship phones anymore, and even entry-level phones come with 5G. The A22 5G will hit the shelves at €250, making the phone the cheapest 5G phone from the manufacturer and one of the most affordable items in the market.
As for the hardware, A few weeks ago, some sources reported that Samsung’s budget phones would be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 700 processors. It’s true, and the Galaxy A22 5G comes with a MediaTek MT6833V SoC clocked at 2.2GHz. The phone launches with 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, and it supports the microSD card up to 1TB. The 4G variant has a less powerful SoC, and it possibly comes with Helio G80.
The A22 5G features a powerful battery, possibly a 5,000mAh one with support for 15W fast charging. The shipping date is still unknown, but the final price is around €250, and it will be available in black, light green, purple, and white colors.
