Motorola is preparing to launch its second-gen Edge series flagships in the coming months. Multiple leaks over the past few months have suggested that there will be three models of the upcoming Motorola Edge 20 lineup. The devices are reportedly codenamed Berlin (Berlin NA for North America), Kyoto, and PStar. Some details about their camera specifications have also been revealed in the past. A major leak has now bared it all as far as their key specs are concerned. The latest Motorola Edge 20 leak comes courtesy of reliable tipster Evan Blass, aka @evleaks.

New leak reveals Motorola Edge 20 series key specs

According to Mr. Blass, the Motorola Berlin NA will sport a 6.78-inch FHD display (1080 x 2460 pixels) with a centered punch-hole cutout and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G processor with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage.

There will be a triple camera setup on the back featuring a 108-megapixel primary camera. The 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor will also double up as a macro camera while Motorola offers a dedicated 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device gets a 32-megapixel camera at the front. It packs a 5,000mAh battery, a mono speaker, and will run Android 11 from the first day.

The Motorola Berlin NA will be available through Verizon in North America. It’s unclear though whether the device will be exclusive to the carrier.

The global version of the Motorola Berlin, meanwhile, features a number of notable differences. Firstly, it gets a smaller 6.67-inch display of 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It keeps the 120Hz refresh rate a centered punch-hole design though.

Under the hood is also the same Snapdragon chipset with an identical memory configuration. But there are some differences in the rear camera department. The ultrawide-cum-macro camera is a 16-megapixel sensor on this phone. Motorola is also replacing the 2-megapixel depth sensor with an 8-megapixel telephoto lens that offers 3X zoom. The selfie camera remains unchanged though.

The Motorola Berlin also gets a smaller 4,000mAh battery. Other specific details include a mono speaker, Android 11 software, a dedicated Google Assistant button, and Emeral, Stout, and White color variants.

Motorola PStar appears to be the top-of-the-line Edge 20 model

Motorola Kyoto, which will arrive as the Motorola Edge 20 Lite, will also be a globally available phone with a 108-megapixel primary camera. In fact, this device borrows the whole camera setup from the Berlin NA. The 5,000mAh battery remains unchanged as well.

However, the chipset powering this phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 720. It will come in 6GB and/or 8GB RAM variants but only with 128GB of onboard storage. The display is a 90Hz panel of 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, with a centered punch hole, of course. The Motorola Kyoto will also get a dedicated Google Assistant button. It will be available in Iron and Cosmo color options with Android 11 out of the box.

Lastly, the Motorola PStar, which Mr. Blass suggests could be an alternate codename for the previously rumored Motorola Sierra, appears to be the highest-end model in the Edge 20 lineup. It gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The device keeps the same display panel and camera setup as the Motorola Berlin but the 8-megapixel telephoto lens is said to offer up to 5X zoom. The Chinese version of the phone might also get a 16-megapixel selfie camera instead of a 32-megapixel sensor found in the global version.

A 4,500mAh battery, a dedicated Google Assistant button, under-display fingerprint scanner, display output, mono speaker, and Android 11-based software are some other reported specs. The Motorola PStar/Sierra will also be available globally in Black, White, and Blue color options.
