Another ASUS ZenFone 8 update has arrived, bringing more camera improvements to the table. This is the second post-launch update the ZenFone 8 received. The first one landed earlier this week for both devices. We’re not sure if this one is coming to both phones, or just the ZenFone 8.
The ASUS ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip launched quite recently. The ZenFone 8, in particular, managed to surprise us, as it’s a true powerhouse that ASUS managed to pack in such a compact body.
The ASUS ZenFone 8 gets another update which brings more camera improvements
ASUS is doing the best it can to further optimize both phones. The newest ZenFone 8 update weighs 139.96MB, and it will land on your phone OTA (Over The Air), as per usual.
Now, in regards to changes, this update does not bring any new features to the device. It does however bring quite a few fixes and optimizations. The first entry in the official changelog states that the update will improve camera quality on the ZenFone 8.
Both devices did offer really good camera performance out of the box, but it’s nice to see that ASUS is trying to make some further improvements. This update also fixes the issue with thumbnails in third-party cameras.
Some notification-related fixes have also been issued
On top of that, it fixes the issue where “ultra durable notification could not be removed”. We’re not entirely sure what this is about, but it seems to be something notification-related.
For those of you who live in Spain, this update also enables VoLTE on Vodafone (carrier). That’s pretty much it when it comes to the mentioned changes.
As most of you know, Google officially announced Android 12 during Google I/O. As part of it, it announced its Android 12 Beta program, and the ZenFone 8 is supported, so you can try out Android 12 already. Do note that this is not final software, though, so it is not recommended for most of you to install it, unlike the official ASUS build that we talked about in this article.
