Sony had announced two new flagship smartphones yesterday, the Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III. In addition to those two flagships, the Xperia 10 III mid-ranger launched. Sony did not share any pricing info for the three devices, but the Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III price tags just surfaced.

The Sony Xperia 1 III & Xperia 5 III prices appear, and they’re as premium as expected

If you were hoping these two phones will be sub-$1,000, well, that won’t happen. Both devices got listed for pre-order on Sony Russia’s official store, and they cost $1,300 and $1,100, respectively.

Do note that these are converted price tags, as their prices in Russia are shown in Russian rubles. That being said, both of these phones will cost over $1,000, and chances are that will be the case in every market they reach.

The Sony Xperia 1 III with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is listed in Russia. The Xperia 5 III that appeared offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Do note that the Xperia 5 III will also be available with 128GB of storage, so that model will be a bit more affordable.

Those of you who pre-order either of the two devices will get a free pair of TWS earphones

It is also worth noting that all pre-order purchases in Russia will get you a free pair of WF-XB700 TWS earphones. So, if you deduct the price of those from the price of either of the two devices, you’ll get a somewhat better deal.

Now, both the Sony Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III are currently listed as “out of stock” in Russia. According to GSM Arena’s tipster, both devices are scheduled to launch on July 20.

Sony did say that both of these phones will become available in the Summer, quite probably early Summer. Well, July 20 certainly belongs in the ‘Summer’ category, but we won’t exactly say this is early.

The launch of these phones may also differ from one market to the next. Either way, we won’t be seeing them available to purchase for another couple of months, that’s for sure.
