According to TechRadar, the Sony Xperia 1 III will be getting an announcement on April 14. That is some pretty exciting news for Sony smartphone fans. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the announcement date is now known, the design is still unknown.

Thankfully Olixar who is a case maker has been gracious enough to list a transparent case for the phone on its website. Due to the case being transparent, the upcoming phone is shown off from various angles giving the world an idea of what to expect.

The images show off various angles and give a pretty good look at the rumored periscope camera and other lenses. The device seems to fall in line with Sony’s recent smartphone design. It shows off a flat 21:9 screen with a front-facing camera which is in the top bezel.

There is also a 3.5mm headphone port on the top edge. This is a welcome surprise for those audiophiles who love their wired headphones. There is also a shortcut key on the right edge, along with the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and volume rocker.

Sony Xperia 1 III sticks to Sony’s smartphone design language

Qualcomm recently released its second-generation in-display fingerprint scanner. But, it looks like Sony likes the side-mounted fingerprint scanners. These new tweaks are nice but everything else falls in line with Sony’s smartphone designs.

It has a strong resemblance to its older sibling the Sony Xperia 1 II. Also, recent leaks of the upcoming device look similar. It is safe to assume that this will be the final design. Especially when considering that the leak comes from a case designer. Case designers generally will have device designs early in advance to make their cases.

Olixar gives more to Sony fans though besides just the Sony Xperia 1 III leak. The company also shows off the Sony Xperia 10 III device as well. It has a triple-lens camera on its back along with a tall narrow screen on the front. The design is similar to its predecessor the Sony Xperia 10 II.

Since these devices are not live on the market yet it Is possible that the leaks may be wrong. With only a bit over a week until April 14 the world will soon see what Sony has in store for its fans.

The company has been releasing some good smartphones as of late. The Sony Xperia 1 II is a good device, and Sony recently released an Xperia Pro device as well. Although that device costs a hefty $2500.
