Looks like the Verizon Galaxy Note 20 is getting the same love its siblings got. According to Droid-Life, The new Galaxy Note 20 update is rolling out now. The high-end Samsung phones on Verizon have been getting updated recently, and now Galaxy Note 20 is getting some love.

Both the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are receiving the same update that the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 recently got.

The new update brings along some camera improvements and the April security patch. It is hard to imagine that there are any more camera improvements that can be made to the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The Note 20 line has some of the best cameras that are on 2020 smartphones.

For Galaxy Note 20 owners your update build number is RP1A.200720.012.N981USQU2DUCA. For Galaxy Note 20 Ultra owners your update build number is RP1A.200720.012.N986USQU2DUCA. The new update brings along a Pro camera mode when using the ultra-wide angle lens which will definitely take users’ images to the next level.

In addition, the update brings along mono, backdrop, high-key, and low-key effects in portrait shots. Users will also get auto night mode in portrait, photo, and hyper-lapse shots. It seems unfathomable that the Note 20 cameras can get any better, but it looks like they have.

Of course, there is also the April security update. But, that isn’t as exciting as the new camera features. It is important though. To check for the update go to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates.

It makes sense that Samsung is keeping the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra up to date. The Note line of phones has a pretty loyal fanbase. The line is also very popular. As a result, users were let down when Samsung announced there would be no Galaxy Note 21 this year.

This means that Samsung wants to keep their Note fans happy. The S-Pen is great for productivity and is the reason why the Note series is so popular. The new Galaxy S21 Ultra can use the S-Pen. However, the implementation isn’t as robust as on the Note line.

There were rumors that the Note line would be discontinued in favor of the Galaxy Z line to take over. There are even rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have S-Pen support. As of now, all of this is just a rumor. But, it is nice to see the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra getting continued updates.
