Twitter seems to be readying the unsend tweets feature
She managed to discover a feature called ‘Undo Send’, which will essentially allow you to unsend a tweet for a few seconds after you post it. This feature has been implemented in a number of SMS apps, email apps, and so on.
As you can see in the provided tweet below, the timer is presented in the button itself. When the timer runs out, you won’t be able to unsend the tweet anymore. You will still be able to manually delete it after it’s posted, though, of course.

While the timer is running out, you can tap that button to unsend the tweet. This will give you some time to re-read what you sent, and avoid any typos in there.
There’s no indication that Twitter plans to allow us to edit tweets
This feature is not quite the edit button that people have been asking for, but it’s at least something. The edit function has been requested for ages now, but Twitter seems to have no plans to implement it.
This feature was actually first mentioned back in July last year. It was supposed to be a part of the company’s subscription service. Well, it seems like Twitter decided not to do that after all. This feature will be available to everyone, it seems.
We still do not know when will this feature become a reality, though. We were not provided with a timeline, or anything of the sort, so you’ll have to sit tight and see what happens.
People are still hopeful that Twitter may offer an edit button, but there’s still no indication of it. The company may, of course, surprise us at some point down the road, but that won’t happen anytime soon, so don’t hold your breath.
