After months of hype, and plenty of Super Bowl commercials last month, Paramount Plus is now available and you can sign up for just $5.99 per month. Which is the same price as its predecessor.
Paramount Plus is basically ViacomCBS’ version of HBO MAX. It houses most of the content under the ViacomCBS umbrella. That includes content from Paramount (hence the name), as well as networks like CBS, BET, VH1, Comedy Central and more.
It’s more than just a library of content though. Paramount Plus also has live sports, and you’ll be able to watch CBS Sports as well as your local CBS affiliate. Meaning that you can watch NFL games on Sunday, with Paramount Plus. And no need for a cable subscription or an antenna.
How much is Paramount Plus?
As mentioned already, Paramount Plus is priced at $5.99 per month. But there is a second plan that is priced at $9.99 per month which is ad-free. Now it’s mostly ad-free. If you’re watching live TV from CBS, CBS Sports, or CBSN, you will be seeing ads, since it is live TV. But when watching on-demand content, you won’t see any ads, which is really nice to have.
At $4.99 per month, you’re getting a ton of content, and the library is only going to grow. Since CBS All Access had been building some original content ahead of the Paramount Plus launch, there’s plenty of original content already available on the service. And there’s more coming.
Paramount Plus is one of the cheapest streaming services currently available. With Disney+ being priced at $6.99, Netflix starting at $8.99, and even ESPN+ costing $5.99 per month. With the huge library of content that Paramount Plus has, it’s definitely worth signing up for this service at $5.99 per month.
