It’s been only a little short of a month since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, but the lineup has already bagged a couple of updates. Reportedly, one more update is live for the Galaxy S21 lineup.
Notably, the update is rolling out to some markets in the European continent. Samsung packed a bunch of features in its latest flagships. The phones already comes with the latest and updated version of One UI, i.e. One UI 3.1, which started seeding for other devices very recently.
The latest phone to bag the One UI 3.1 update is the Galaxy S20 FE. The Galaxy Tab S7 lineup was the first Samsung device to receive the updated version of Samsung’s custom UI.
Talking about the Galaxy S21 series update, it comes with software version G99xBXXU1AUB6. The update rolling out for Galaxy S21 users in multiple countries in the European continent, including the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.
Interestingly, the changelog of the update mentions all the similar changes as the previous update. Meaning that it brings camera performance and overall device performance improvement.
But as noted by Sammobile, Samsung might have tried to save some time mentioning the new changes and just copied over the existing changelog. So, we are not sure if the update actually brings anything new for the Galaxy S21 users or not.
This new Galaxy S21 update weighs around 257MB in size
Several users on the official community forum and Reddit reported that the previous update reduced the battery life of Galaxy S21 and S21+ users. Although Samsung has acknowledged the issues, it is unclear if this update fixes that problem.
The update weighs around 257MB in size, and the security patch level is February 2021. The update is pushed via OTA in batches. Meaning that it won’t be straightaway available for all Galaxy S21 series owners.
Good thing is that you can check for the update manually. For that, you need to head over to Settings. Then you need to navigate to “System updates.”
From there, tap the “Download and install” option. You can proceed with downloading and installation of the update if a new update is available.
We would like to remind our readers that the update is currently live in the European continent and may take some time before it hits other countries across the globe.
So, if your device does not detect the update, then we would advise you to wait for the update to arrive on your Galaxy S21 phones.
