You can get a Samsung Galaxy S21 for free, but you will have to pay some money upfront. So the "free" aspect has an asterisk.
Samsung's new Galaxy S21 went up for pre-order earlier this week, and it offers some really incredible trade-in values for other smartphones. We're talking up to $700 off of your trade-in. That is rather insane when you think about it.
If you were paying attention, the Galaxy S21 – the smallest one – is only $799. So if you have a phone that you're trading in, that has the full $700 value, then you're getting the S21 for just $99. However, Samsung is also giving everyone that pre-orders at least $100 in credit. And the small Galaxy S21 will get you $100 in site credit. Which is the cost of the phone.
Basically, you only have to pay taxes on the $99 price. Plus the $99 and then a few weeks after you get your device, you'll get the $100 credit from Samsung.
It's not technically free, but it is pretty much free.
The best way to get into a Galaxy S21
It is worth mentioning that not all smartphones will get you $700 off. It's mostly 2020 Samsung flagship smartphones. So this trick won't work for everyone. But if you have a Galaxy S20 and want to grab the S21, then this is a great way to do just that.
Pre-orders are open now and end on January 28. With the devices arriving on January 29. So you still have plenty of time to pre-order your Galaxy S21 and take advantage of this pretty insane deal.
The Galaxy S21 sports a 6.2-inch display, the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has a pretty large 4000mAh capacity battery inside. Which is pretty large for the size of this phone.
