Best Of CES 2021: HONOR Band 6

AH HONOR Band 6 CES award badge

The HONOR Band 6 is a bargain at $35, it’s easily one of the most compelling fitness trackers in the market

We’ve decided to hand out one of our awards to the HONOR Band 6, HONOR’s budget fitness tracker. This device originally launched in early November in China, and during CES 2021, it has seen its global announcement. This fitness tracker will be priced at around $35 in global markets, and it has a lot to offer for that price tag. You’ll hardly find a similar device that offers this level of quality in its build, while also offering all the features that the HONOR Band 6 does.

That is especially worth noting as the fitness tracker market is quite crowded these days. The HONOR Band 6 brings utility via various sports modes that it offers, while it also comes with heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, and even menstrual cycle monitoring. On top of that, it offers a color display that is touch sensitive, and much more. We’ll talk a bit more about this fitness tracker below.

Nice-looking AMOLED display combined with excellent battery life

The HONOR Band 6 comes with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, which more than doubles pixels compared to the last-gen product. This display is actually really good considering the price tag. It is touch-sensitive, and this fitness tracker basically doubles as a smartwatch of sorts because of it. The display is also not too tall, so it will fit most wrist sizes, no matter if you’re a man or a woman.

When it comes to battery life, the HONOR Band 6 does not disappoint either. HONOR is claiming that you can get 14 days’ worth of battery life out of this thing, in “typical usage scenarios”. If you push the device a bit harder, you’ll get around 10 days of battery life, which is still quite great. Not having to charge up a wearable device every night is a plus no matter what way you spin it. It’s also great because the HONOR Band 6 doubles as a sleep tracker.

Various workout modes are at your disposal

The HONOR Band 6 comes with a bunch of workout modes pre-installed. To be more accurate, you’ll find 10 workout modes ready to go on this fitness tracker. Those workout modes include: outdoor run, indoor run, outdoor cycle, indoor cycle, pool swim, open water swim, elliptical, rower, indoor walk, and free training with multiple real-time data monitoring such as heart rate, calories burned, distance, and pace.

The HONOR Band 6 will also allow you to evaluate your swimming efficiency with your SWOLF. It will do that by identifying and recording your swimming stroke, and also monitoring your heart rate during swims. Yes, you can go swimming with the Band 6 easily, as it offers 5 ATM water resistance. In fact, you can even go diving with it because of that rating. It is also worth noting that this smart fitness tracker can automatically detect six workouts.

It’s a heart, sleep, and stress monitoring device, while also being a female cycle tracker

HONOR’s smart fitness tracker is packed with various features, and it’s not only meant to be your personal fitness companion. The HONOR Band 6 can monitor your heart rate, sleep quality, stress, and even keep track of your menstrual cycles, if you’re a woman. It can analyze your sleep patterns and provide more than 200 personalized sleep quality assessments and improvements thanks to HONOR’s TruSleep platform.

In terms of stress monitoring, TruRelax comes into play. That platform will track your stress level 24/7 and provide various calming exercises within the breathing app. When it comes to menstrual cycle tracking, the Band 6 can track and predict your menstrual cycle and fertile windows, for women only, of course. And last, but not least, heart rate tracking. The HONOR Band 6 can calculate your personal heart rate zones to improve your workout results.

It’s a hybrid smartwatch at the same time

The HONOR Band 6 does also function as a smartwatch of sorts. You do have a whole platform to use here, and a really nice-looking display at that. Getting notifications on this thing is also possible, without a problem. You can also see who’s calling you, and access various other functions you would on a regular smartwatch. The HONOR Band 6 is as versatile as it gets, and at its price tag, it’s really difficult not to give HONOR props for this device.
