Samsung has announced the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 beta programs for the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy A51 5G. The company has started accepting registrations from users to enter the beta program for the two devices in India and South Korea respectively.

Interested Galaxy M31 and Galaxy A51 5G users in the respective regions can join the beta program through the Samsung Members app. It may take up to a few days for approval. Once you are accepted, you can download the update through the Software update menu in the Settings app. Since it is a major update, you might want to connect to a stable Wi-Fi network before downloading the file.

The new update should bring newer features, UI redesign, faster performance, and a lot of other optimizations. However, the beta software may not always work as intended and may contain some bugs as well. Samsung also recommends you back up your important data to keep it safe from unexpected errors.

Samsung will likely expand the One UI 3.0 beta programs for the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy A51 to other regions in the coming weeks. The company should also launch similar programs for other popular Galaxy A and Galaxy M series phones soon.

Samsung releases Android 11 beta for Galaxy M31 and Galaxy A51

Samsung has already pushed the stable Android 11 update for its most recent flagship models, including the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, and the Galaxy Z Flip series phones. The Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10, and the Galaxy Z Fold phones are also in beta programs. The company has now shifted its attention to its mid-range lineup, starting with the two most popular phones in the Galaxy A and Galaxy M series.

The Galaxy M31 and Galaxy A51 may get multiple beta releases before the stable One UI 3.0 update. Each beta release should introduce new features and stability improvements. They may also contain fixes for bugs reported in the previous releases, taking into account the feedback from the users.

Samsung has mentioned in its official Android 11 update roadmap that both the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy A51 would receive the stable update in March 2021. However, going by the recent developments, it may come much ahead of the schedule. A lot depends on how smoothly the beta program goes. Samsung may have to delay the stable update if users report some major issues with the beta releases.

The Galaxy M30s, Galaxy M21, Galaxy Xcover Pro, and the Galaxy Tab S7 series are also scheduled to receive the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update in March 2021. Samsung’s Android 11 update roadmap runs all the way up to September 2021, covering several eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
