Samsung Is Testing Android 11 For The Galaxy Z Fold 2

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 AH 11

Samsung is doing its best to deliver Android 11 to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, it’s currently testing the build. This information comes from Max Weinbach, a well-known tipster.

He published the following “samsung/f2qsqw/f2q:11/RP1A.200720.012/F916USQU1CTJ5:user/release-keys”, noting that we’re looking at the Android 11 build in testing.

Android 11 for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is in testing, but we don’t know when to expect it

Mr. Weinbach did not say when can we expect the update to arrive, probably because he himself doesn’t know. Samsung has been improving when it comes to delivering Android updates, but it’s still lagging behind companies like OnePlus, for example.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the company’s foldable flagship. Sales of this device have been going really well for the company, despite its extremely high price tag. Don’t get me wrong, the sales aren’t amazing, but considering the price, they’re above expectations.

That is not all that surprising, however. Samsung managed not only to fix the majority of complaints users expressed for the original Galaxy Fold, but it also improved this phone in a number of ways.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is an immense improvement over the original, as we were able to find out while we were spending time with the phone. If you’d like to know more about that, read our full review.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will get Android 11 with Samsung’s One UI skin on top of it, of course. The company will surely implement some foldable-only features in this software, in addition to including the ones that were on it to begin with.

Samsung will hopefully be able to deliver this update by the end of the year, or at least very early in 2021. We can only guess at this point, as we’ll hardly get an exact date before it becomes available, or anything of the sort. So, all we can do is wait.
