Razer now makes a laptop that is meant first and foremost, for productivity, though it still looks very much like the rest of the company's laptops meant for gaming.

Though it's not a Razer Blade, this productivity laptop, called the Razer Book 13, carries the same design. Complete with the same CNC-milled frame and an anodized aluminum finish. It does however come with a more muted matte white color. Razer calls it Mercury. If you're unfamiliar with what this looks like, it sort of matches the color of the Razer Productivity suite products. Such as the Razer Pro Type.

It also still comes with an RGB backlit keyboard. A bit of an interesting move considering the productivity keyboard that Razer makes has white backlit keys instead of RGB.

The Razer Book 13 laptop is built for productivity, and the ports prove it

If you take a look at Razer's most similar laptop, the Blade Stealth, a big difference in what the laptops are meant for can be seen in the ports.

The Book 13 comes with a few more ports than you'll find on the Blade Stealth. All total it has 2 Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a USB-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a 3.5mm audio port, and an SD card reader. This puts it more in line with what someone would need if they were using this specifically for or mostly for work purposes.

The differences don't stop there though. The Book 13 also comes with a more reserved CPU and GPU setup. While laptops like the Blade Stealth now come with dedicated GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPUs, the Book 13 is using Intel Iris Xe graphics. If there is any indication that this isn't a gaming laptop. That's it right there. It is however compatible with Razer's external GPU dock, so if you need or want better graphics for games while at home, you can have them.
