Ulefone has announced a new smartphone, the Armor X8. This phone is the newest member of the company’s ‘Armor’ series of devices, which stands for Ulefone’s rugged smartphones.
This phone is now listed on the company’s official website, so you can check out its design, specs, and price tag. This is a budget phone, by the way, it costs only $159.99 as we speak.
The global pre-sale for the device hasn’t started yet, but it could be even more affordable during the pre-order period. Now, in terms of the design, you can see this is a rugged phone from the get-go.
The phone has that rugged shell, and its corners are reinforced. The phone has noticeable bezels around its display, though that’s not surprising for a rugged device. A fingerprint scanner is located on the back, below the phone’s triple camera setup.
The Ulefone Armor X8 comes with the Helio A25 SoC, and a huge battery
Do note that this is a budget phone, so don’t expect miracles out of its specs sheet. Still, for the said price, this phone does offer a solid spec sheet. It is fueled by the Helio A25 SoC from MediaTek.
The phone also packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. 13 and 2-megapixel cameras are placed on the back of this phone, while a single 8-megapixel unit is included on the front.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on the device. This smartphone features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 x 720. A 5,080mAh battery is included in the package as well, while two SIM card slots are available.
The phone comes in two color variants, by the way, Black and Orange. The only difference is in the accents around the display. The black model is completely black (it’s more of dark gray, actually), while the other one is black with yellowish-orange accents.
The company has also released an official introduction video for this phone. That video has a duration of about a minute, and it is embedded below.
