Yesterday, in an official blog, Google has revealed that it is bringing Google Assistant support for the 2020 models of Samsung TV. Moreover, the Google Assistant integration with Fitbit will roll out soon.

Apart from smartphones, Google Assistant is available across various other devices. There are Android TVs, smart speakers, etc. that come with Google Assistant support.

You can make use of Google Assistant to search for your favorite content, know about the weather, latest news, match score, and whatnot. And this support is now coming for the 2020 Samsung TVs.

Going back in time, back in CES 2019, Samsung announced that it was adding Google Assistant support for its TVs. Note that Samsung already has SmartThings-derived control, which allows you to perform some basic commands.

For instance, you can turn ON/OFF your Samsung TV or check the weather, etc. But the addition of Google Assistant brings full-fledged voice control for performing even advanced tasks.

Notably, you will be able to change channels, adjust the volume, control playback, open any app, search for your content, etc. using Google Assistant on Samsung TVs.

The Google Assistant Samsung TV integration is starting in the US for the following models, 2020 8K and 4K QLED TVs, 2020 Crystal UHD TVs, 2020 Frame and Serif TVs, 2020 Sero and Terrace TVs. More countries will join soon.

And for smart TVs especially, Google Assistant is a must, because they are called 'Smart' in the first place. More Samsung TV models are expected to join the Google Assistant support list.

Google Assistant will also be coming to the new Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3

To make life easier, Google will be adding Google Assistant support on the recently launched Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3 smartwatches.

Well, this is the first time Google Assistant is available outside of WearOS smartwatches. The integration with Fitbit smartwatches will be coming this winter.

Users will be able to use the Google Assistant to bring more convenience to their wrist. You can start a Fitbit exercise, take control of the timers, manage any task, add items to your shopping list using just your voice.

The ability to control physical activities implies the Google Assistant will have a deeper level of integration with the Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3 smartwatches.

Apparently, this feature is arriving this winter, which we can speculate that it will full-fledgedly arrive somewhere during early 2021.

It is good that Google is making efforts to push Google Assistant features to more devices. Because it is a mature voice assistant and people are more familiar with Google Assistant than any other assistant.
