The ‘OnePlus 8T Limited Edition’ seems to be on the way
We’re not really sure what this is supposed to represent, as he did not share any additional information. We can always guess, though. Based on the name, this is probably a limited edition variant of the phone that the company is planning to release.
It could come with a special backplate, like the company did in the past, or something of the sort. We’re only taking a wild guess here, of course, who knows what it’s about.
It seems like OnePlus will release only the OnePlus 8T this year, though, without the ‘Pro’ variant. That is, at least, something that Max J. said recently, another well-known tipster.
Guides for upcoming OnePlus smartphones did surface on the company’s website, though, and the OnePlus 8T Pro’s model was mentioned. So… that managed to complicate things a bit. We’ll see what it means, but it’s possible that guide is there for the ‘Limited Edition’ variant.
The OnePlus 8T will become the company’s new flagship smartphone. OnePlus already announced the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro earlier this year, as most of you know.
The OnePlus 8T is not the only smartphone that OnePlus will announce by the end of 2020, though. Some more budget options are also expected, Snapdragon 600 series-powered devices, and one with the Snapdragon 460 SoC.
The OnePlus 8T will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865, not the ‘Plus’ variant
The OnePlus 8T will ship with the Snapdragon 865, though, not the Snapdragon 865 Plus. That is, at least, what pretty much every rumor suggested in the last couple of weeks.
This smartphone will be made out of metal and glass, just like its siblings. It will include a flat display, and a display camera hole in the top-left corner. Its cameras will be moved to the top-left corner of its back side.
Bezels on the phone will be quite thin, while Android 11 will come pre-installed on it. Along with the newest version of Google’s software, you’ll also get OnePlus’ OxygenOS 11 skin.
The device is expected to arrive in both 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, with 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. A large battery is expected, along with fast wired charging. We’re hoping wireless charging will also be included.
We still do not know how much will the device cost, though. Don’t expect it to be cheap, though. It will be more expensive than last year’s OnePlus 7T, that’s for sure. We’re actually expecting it to be quite a bit more expensive, but we’ll see. If you’d like to know more about the device, check out our OnePlus 8T preview.
