The OnePlus Nord is currently receiving yet another new update, and it brings camera and display improvements, amongst other fixes. This update is marked as OxygenOS 10.5.4, and it’s a stable update.
This follows OxygenOS 10.5.3 which arrived less than a week ago. OnePlus is trying to perfectly optimize the Nord as soon as possible, it seems. That is a common practice following a smartphone launch, at least for OnePlus.
This OnePlus Nord update improves the phone’s camera and display
That being said, there are some notable changes in this update. The OnePlus Nord will now be able to shoot better images with its macro camera. This update brings improved vibrancy and color accuracy of the phone’s macro camera.
On top of that, it improves color accuracy and white balance for low-light selfies. Video call quality has also been improved, says OnePlus. That’s not all, though.
This update improves the launch speed of the company’s Gallery app as well. On top of that, some display-related improvements have been rolled out as well, though OnePlus did not detail them.
It also fixes the issue of background music pausing when launching the front camera. That has been a rather odd bug on the Nord, but that has been fixed in this update as well.
For the ‘IN’ variant, it also fixes the inability to jin Red Cable Club, and it fixes issues with syncing Notes. That is pretty much it as far as the changelog is concerned.
Do note that this update is rolling out OTA (Over-The-Air) as we speak. It won’t arrive to everyone straight away, as it’s rolling out in batches. Just be patient, once it’s ready for your device, you’ll get the notification.
You’ll need to have a stable build of OxygenOS installed in order to get this update. If you’re running a beta build of OnePlus’ software, you won’t be able to get this update OTA. You’ll need to revert manually.
More updates are expected in the coming weeks
You can expect further updates for the OnePlus Nord in the coming weeks. The company will probably want to fine-tune some additional things, plus we may see some new features as well.
OxygenOS 11 is also coming soon, at least its first beta is. The OnePlus Nord will probably be amongst the very first phones to get OxygenOS 11, along with the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
There you have it. The OnePlus Nord is getting a new update as we speak, and if you don’t want to wait, you can always install it manually. You’ll need to download the files from OnePlus, though, via this link.
