Microsoft Surface Earbuds Graphite Grey

Earlier today, Microsoft has finally revealed the pricing and availability details of the Surface Duo. The Redmond-giant also announced a new color option for the already launched Surface Earbuds — Graphite. However, there is no Graphite Surface Duo, it only comes in Glacier color.

According to Windows Central, the Surface Earbuds in the new Graphite color will go on sale starting September 10 in the US. As of now, there is no information about the availability of these earbuds in other markets.

Graphite Surface Earbuds will be available from September 10

Both the earbuds and the charging case in the new Graphite color looks more like Grey. Even with the dark theme, the earbuds still have the same glossy finish as seen with the Glacier White variant.

The Surface Earbuds along with the Surface Go 2 and Surface Headphones 2 went on sale for the first time in May this year. These were initially announced in October last year for $249. After several delays, the company launched them in May for $199.

Now, the new Graphite Surface Earbuds also costs the same $199 in the US. Compared to the other TWS earbuds available in the markets, the Surface Earbuds can be easily distinguished with their large touch surface. The users can use the touch controls to play/pause music, increase/decrease volume, and more.

When paired to a compatible smartphone, these earbuds also work well with digital assistants like Google Assistant and Siri. Besides, the Surface Earbuds also come with Microsoft 365 integration. For example, the earbuds come handy for dictation or translation in Office apps.

Earbuds alone last up to 8 hours on a single charge

Each earbud comes equipped with two microphones for better call quality and superior voice recognition. Speaking of the battery life, the earbuds alone will give up to 8 hours of continuous music playback. When paired with the charging case, the battery life is extended up to 24 hours.

Additionally, the earbuds can last up to 1 hour with just a 10 minute charge. Just like the Apple AirPods and second-gen Google Pixel Buds, the Surface Earbuds also come with interchangeable silicone ear tips for a more secure fit.

A total of three pairs in small, medium, and large sizes are provided within the package. The earbuds are also water-resistant, thanks to the IPX4 certifications. In terms of codecs, the Surface Earbuds are compatible only with SBC and aptX. There is also a companion app called Surface Audio for customizing controls and features.
