Basking an opportunity, LG has officially announced its portable battery-powered air purifier mask. It is called LG PuriCare wearable air purifier Face mask.

This LG PuriCare wearable air purifier face mask uses a pair of replaceable H13 HEPA filters air filters and has three-speed fans. The product uses a similar air filter as seen in other LG's air purifier products.

Moreover, the recent coronavirus pandemic situation has given rise to the use of a face mask. And this seems to a perfect scenario to grab the opportunity.

However, the company mentioned nothing related to COVID-19 while introducing the LG PuriCare wearable air purifier face mask. But, let's face it, it heavily implies that the product is a response to the current situation.

What the company has stated is that it is made to replace the home-worn masks which some people wear. Besides, it has been build as an alternative to disposable masks.

The air purifier mask can fit in your face just like a normal mask. In fact, it has been designed in a way that it can be worn on the face for long hours.

Well, talk about smart, this LG PuriCare wearable air purifier face mask comes with a case. The case comes with ultraviolet LED lights meant to purify the mask. Moreover, this alerts the users to replace the filters when needed to maintain proper hygiene.

The air mask comes with an 820 mAh battery, which is touted to last up to 8 hours. There are two modes to operate the mask, i.e. Low mode and High mode.

Basically, if you set the LG PuriCare mask on low mode, it will give you a runtime of 8 hours. While when setting in high mode, the runtime goes down to 2 hours.

The LG face mask has a built-in "respiratory sensor" that will detect how fast your breath. It also detects its volume and based on that adjusts the fan speed.

As already mentioned, LG has refrained from using COVID-19 or anything related to it during the launch. So, there are still some doubts about whether this product can be used in the current situation or not.
