Woot is currently blowing out a bunch of Samsung smartphones, starting at just $99. Which is pretty crazy, but a good time to pick up a new smartphone for going back to school.
This sale starts with the Samsung Galaxy S7, which is $99. These are all unlocked smartphones, so you can pop in your SIM card and you'll be good to go.
There is also the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus which are $239 and $249 respectively. These are both really great smartphones to pick up, with the Snapdragon 845 chipset inside, they're still plenty powerful.
Then there is also the Galaxy Note 9 for $319. This is the model with 128GB of storage too, and there's still a micro SD card slot. So there's plenty of storage available for everyone.
Rounding out the list is the Samsung Galaxy S10 which is priced at $419.99. That is also a really good purchase, since it is last year's phone, with 128GB of storage, and under $500. That's likely the best value on this list from Woot, and definitely worth picking up.
Samsung is still updating a good number of these smartphones, which is also a good thing. The Galaxy S10 will for sure get Android 11. However, Samsung has not released a list of which phones will get Android 11 – that doesn't even come out til September – so there is a chance that the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 series could get it too. But the Galaxy S7 definitely would not.
However, the Galaxy S7 would still be a great phone for a kid or even a college kid. It'll be a great first phone, as it is still plenty powerful, even if Samsung is not pushing new versions of Android to it.
