These two tablets look the same, and share the vast majority of their specifications. The only difference between them comes to their display sizes and resolutions.
Both devices seem to be made out of plastic, though we cannot confirm that. Both of them include a single camera on the back, and looks rather plain from the front. A stylus is also included in the marketing materials, but we’re not sure it ships with these tablets.
The HONOR ViewPad 6 is the larger of the two
The HONOR ViewPad 6 is the larger tablet of the two, it sports a 10.4-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS display. The ViewPad X6 comes with a 9.7-inch 1280 X 800 IPS display.
Both of these tablets are fueled by the Kirin 710A 64-bit octa-core processor. That is Huawei’s very own mid-range chip, and it’s actually a really good performer.
Both tablets include 3GB with 32GB of storage, or 4GB of RAM with 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. You can expand that storage by using a microSD card of up to 512GB.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on both devices, along with HONOR’s Magic UI 3.1. Neither of these tablets comes with Google services, by the way, and both have been announced in China.
A 5-megapixel camera can be found on the back of these tablets. A 2-megapixel unit is included on the front. Bluetooth 5.1 is supported, while a 4G variant is also an option, it seems. Regular models come with WiFi only.
A 5,100mAh battery is included in both devices
A 5,100mAh battery is also included in the package here. Fast charging has not been mentioned, so we guess that neither of the two tablets supports it. We could be wrong, though.
Now, in terms of pricing, most of these variants are available in both 4G LTE and WiFi only options. Pricing starts at CNY1,099 ($157) for the 3GB RAM ViewPad X6 with WiFi only. It goes up to CNY1,899 ($271) for the ViewPad 6 with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and 4G support.
As already mentioned, these tablets have been announced in China. The HONOR ViewPad 6 will become available starting on July 27. The ViewPad X6, on the other hand, will go on sale in August.
HONOR will probably bring at least one of these tablets to Europe. The company did not confirm anything just yet, so we cannot know for sure, but it’ll probably happen.
