The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series could go on sale in late August. This information comes from Korea, in case you were wondering. Korean media mentioned August 21 as the possible release date for the device.
Do note that ET News mentioned August 21 as the Galaxy Note 20 release date in Korea. The same could happen in other markets on that date as well, or a week before / after. That’s just an assumption, though.
The Galaxy Note 20 series will launch on August 5, and possibly go on sale on August 21
As a reminder, the Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to launch on August 5. That date had been mentioned a while back, and more or less confirmed by a well-known tipster.
Samsung will announce three Galaxy Note 20 handsets during that launch event, the Galaxy Note 20, Note 20+, and Note 20 Ultra. In addition to those phones, the company also plans to launch two other flagship-grade devices.
Those devices are the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Both of those are foldable smartphones, as you probably already know. The ‘Z Fold 2’ will be a direct successor to the Galaxy Fold.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G, on the other hand, will be a 5G variant of the regular Galaxy Z Flip… kind of. That device is rumored to come with a brand new processor, and thus differentiate itself from its sibling.
All of the devices mentioned here are rumored to ship with the Snapdragon 865+ processor. That chip hasn’t been announced yet, but it is expected to arrive this month.
The Snapdragon 865+ will probably bring higher clock speeds, and some gaming-related improvements. The difference between it and the Snapdragon 865 will not be huge.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra surfaced earlier today in real-life images
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra actually surfaced earlier today. The phone will look quite sleek, based on those real-life images. It will have a symmetrical design, and flat top and bottom sides.
Its rear camera module will be huge, and host four cameras, it seems. The S Pen stylus was also shown in one of those images. A curved display will be included as well, as will a display camera hole.
Android 10 will come pre-installed on all the mentioned devices, along with Samsung’s UI. Samsung has huge plans for H2 of the year, it seems. It will announce five flagship-grade phones in August, but that’s not all.
In July, the company is expected to announce three more flagship-level devices. The Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ tablets are coming, along with the Galaxy Watch 3.
