The OnePlus Nord aka OnePlus Z will support 30W fast charging, as expected. The device got certified on the TUV Rheinland website, and that certification confirms 30W fast charging.

The device got listed as ‘OnePlus AC2003’, and it clearly says it will support 5V/6A charging. That actually translates to OnePlus’ 30W fast charging, as both OnePlus 8 phones offer the same.

The OnePlus Nord will offer 30W fast charging, but only wired, it seems

We’re not sure if the phone will offer wireless charging, but chances are it will not. The OnePlus 8 does not offer wireless charging, only the 8 Pro, so it wouldn’t make much sense to include it on the Nord.

Do note that the OnePlus Nord / OnePlus Z name is not mentioned here, only its model number. That is the only phone that the company is planning to launch in the near future, and the model number fits as well.

The device was initially rumored under the ‘OnePlus 8 Lite’ name. That quickly changed to ‘OnePlus Z’, and ultimately to ‘OnePlus Nord’ aka ‘Nord by OnePlus’.

The device also got benchmarked by Geekbench recently, and several other details leaked as well. The OnePlus Nord will be made out of metal and glass, and it will include a display camera hole. That whole will be centered, unlike the one on the OnePlus 8 series.

An in-display fingerprint scanner will also be included in the package. The OnePlus Nord will feature a fullHD+ flat display with 90Hz refresh rate, almost certainly.

The Snapdragon 765G will fuel the device

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel the phone. That essentially means that it will support 5G as well, as this is the ‘G’ model of that processor.

Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device, along with OnePlus OxygenOS skin. A 4,000mAh battery is rumored for the device, while you can expect to see five cameras overall.

Four of those cameras will be located on the back of the device, the remaining one on the front. We’re also expecting to see at least 8GB of RAM on the device, though a 12GB RAM model is a possibility as well.

Now, some of you may wonder… when will it launch? The OnePlus Nord is expected to arrive next month. July 10 is said to be its launch date, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.

OnePlus will also launch its first pair of truly wireless earbuds with this phone. They will be called either the OnePlus Buds or OnePlus Pods, depending on who you ask.
