It's no secret that Google is getting ready to announce the Pixel 4a, which means that the Pixel 3a is going on a fire sale. Last week, we saw the lowest prices ever for both variants of the Pixel 3a. And now, Best Buy has dropped the Pixel 3a XL even lower. Coming in at just $270.
There is a caveat though. To get that price, you need to activate it on AT&T, Verizon or Sprint today. Otherwise, it'll be $319. Which is still a really good price for the Pixel 3a XL.
This Pixel 3a fire sale is basically to clear out the existing inventory, so that retailers can start selling the Pixel 4a when it is announced. It's not because the Pixel 3a is a bad phone – far from it. But because retailers need the space.
Pixel 3a XL is still one of the best smartphones on the market today. It features a 6-inch FHD+ OLED display, the Snapdragon 670 chipset, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Most phones at this price point have only 32GB of storage, so that's a good thing to see there. It also has a 3700mAh capacity battery. Which might seem small, and that's typical of Google. But keep in mind that this is a smaller, full HD+ display, that is going to take less power. Not to mention the Snapdragon 670 is also very battery efficient.
The Pixel 3a XL is available unlocked and will work on all four US carriers. However, if you decide to use it on T-Mobile, it will cost you $319 instead of $269. So do keep that in mind. But this is still a brand new smartphone, and not a used one.
