Amazon is discounting the Samsung Galaxy S20 today, allowing you to save $200 on both that and the Galaxy S20+ models.
This is one of the first big discounts we've seen on the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+. So if you've been waiting to get your hands on one, now might be the best time to do so.
Unfortunately, the more expensive Galaxy S20 Ultra is not part of this discount. Only the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+.
The Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ are very similar, with the main differences being the larger screen and battery, as well as the addition of the Time of Flight sensor on the Galaxy S20+.
Both of these smartphones sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Galaxy S20 has a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ OLED 120Hz display, with a 4000mAh capacity battery. While the larger Galaxy S20+ has the same display, at 6.7-inches. And a larger 4500mAh capacity battery inside.
On the camera front, The Galaxy S20 and S20+ sport a 12-megapixel main sensor which has a f/1.8 aperture. It also sports a 64-megapixel telephoto lens for the 3x hybrid and 30x digital zoom. And it wraps up with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a f/2.2 aperture. As mentioned the Galaxy S20+ adds the ToF sensor, which will give you better Bokeh. Keep in mind that both smartphones are capable of shooting in 8K, but you'll likely never use it.
These are both 5G smartphones from Samsung and they are unlocked. They will work on all four carriers. Except for the Galaxy S20. Since this is the version without mmWave, it will not work on Verizon. There is a Verizon-variant that is coming in a couple of weeks, and is only being sold by Verizon. So keep that in mind here.
